Magdalena Diebold Beck



On Tuesday, May 30, 1922, Magdalena Beck (nee Diebold), widow of Peter

Beck, aged 90 years. Funeral on Thursday, June 1, at 9:30 am from the

residence of her daughter Mrs. Anna Markmeyer, 3526 California Avenue,

Northside.  Requiem high mass at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church,

Northside.  Members of St. Mary's Ladies' Conference, Third Order of St.

Francis, and friends of the family invited.



NOTE:  Magdalena was the last child of Francois Joseph Diebold and Barbe

Koehl from Riedseltz, Alsace.  She was born, according to Vital Records at

the Pennsylvania Department of Health, October 15, 1831.  Her baptismal

record from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Strip District, Pittsburgh,

states she was born in the Sligo section of Pittsburgh (Lower St. Clair

Township) on September 26, 1831 and baptized September 27, 1831. 

Magdalena's baptismal sponsors werre Matthew Shechler and Magdalena Hart.



Magdalena and her husband Peter Beck, along with their son Alexander, are

buried in North Side Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
