OBITUARIES - PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE - SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2009

ARONSON, Milton H.
A resident of St. Pete Beach, FL, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, PA
died May 29, 2009 at age 90. He is survived by his wife of 68 years
Cecily, his daughter Nancy Gold and husband David of Sarasota, FL and
his son Robert Aronson, of Largo, FL. He is also survived by his
grandchildren Carolyn Gold Aberman, Andrew Gold, and Roger Gold and
great- grandchildren Leah, Aidan, and Carly Aberman. His brothers Sanford
"Babe" and Alvin Aronson predeceased him. Mr. Aronson graduated Carnegie
Mellon University with a degree in physicis. There he was a member of
Sigma Tau Gamma. After serving as Editor-in-Chief of Rimbach Publishing,
he founded Measurements & Data Corporation in Pittsburgh. He successfully
published for decades two national technical journals on calibration and
instrumentation for industry and medicine. Among his innovations was the
inclusion in each bimonthly issue of continuing education courses he
prepared. He wrote books, lectured widely, and was published often. A
voracious reader, his passions were politics, history, and education.
During World War II, he served in the Navy doing developmental work with
torpedoes and mine detection in Washington, D.C. Interment was private.
