Ronald D. Beam, Jr.

  Ronald D. Beam Jr., 29, of RR1 Blairs Mills, died at 5:30 p.m. 
Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, as a 
result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
  Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at St. Luke's United Methodist 
Church, Shade Gap, with Rev. Ginny Eminhizer and Rev. Rick Eminhizer 
officiating. Interment was made at Nossville Cemetery, RD Blairs Mills. 
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Martin R. Brown 
Funeral Home, Orbisonia.
  Mr. Beam was born May 16, 1972, at Huntingdon. He was married to 
Penny Lin Armstrong on June 30, 2001, at Shade Gap. Mrs. Beam survives 
at their home.
  He is also survived by his father and step-mother, Ronald D. and 
Donna L. Beam Sr. of Alexandria and his mother and step-father, John F. 
and M. Florence (Parsons) Fegan of Shade Gap.
  Also surviving are two sons, James D. Blair of Altoona and Brandon B. 
Beam, at home; one brother, Cary Beam of Alexandria; and two sisters, 
Meghan Casner of Huntingdon and Kiley Beam of Alexandria; paternal 
grandparents, Herbert and Maxine Beam of Alexandria; and maternal 
grandparents, Kenny and Rose Parsons of Orbisonia and the late Loretta 
Parsons.
  Mr. Beam is also survived by four step-brothers, John Fegan Jr. of 
Shade Gap, Jason Fegan of Shade Gap, Scott Hearn of Fort Knox, Ky., and 
Matt Hearn of Alexandria; two step-sisters, Julie Papathanasakis of 
Huntingdon and Jamie Fegan of Shade Gap. He is also survived by several 
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
  Mr. Beam attended St-. Luke's United Methodist Church, Shade Gap. He 
was a 2001 champion stock car driver at Hesston Speedway, had been a 
motocross racer for five years and was currently a mechanic for his 
son's motocross effort. Mr. Beam was an avid hunter.
  Mr. Beam was the owner/operator of Beam's Directional Boring, RR1 
Blairs Mills, for the past two years.
