Albon Baney
Albon Baney of Warriors Mark R. D. died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct.
5, 1947, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Burd, after an
illness of four years.  He was born in Zion on Sept. 15, 1860, the son of John 
and- Elizabeth (Harshberger) Baney. He was twice married. His first  marriage 
was to Viola Houtz on Sept. 15, 1880, in Bellefonte. After her death he 
married the late Emma Burke on Feb. 14, 1914, in Bellwood.
Four children are surviving: Mrs. Mabel Nearhoof, Tyrone; Mrs. George Burd, 
Warriors Mark R. D.; Harry Baney, Clearfield; and Cornelius Baney, Osceola 
Mills. Others surviving are a brother, David Baney of Warriors
Mark; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great great-
Grandchildren.  He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Evangelical United
Brethren Church. By occupation he was a farmer. He was a resident of
the Warriors Mark Valley for 41 years.  The funeral service will be held
at 2:30 p. m. Tuesday in the Cox funeral home, Warriors Mark. The
Rev. R. Roland Ritter will officiate.  Burial will be at Shiloh. Friends
may call at the funeral home after  6 p. m. today.
