Johnston Archey, well known and connected by relationship with some
of our people died at his home in Orbisonia, Monday, January 8, of
hemorrhages of the lungs, in his forty-eighth year. He is survived by
his mother, three sisters and one brother. Deceased was a devout
Christian man of excellent traits of character who was held in the
highest esteem in the community in which he lived. The railroad shops
where he had worked were closed as a mark of respect when the funeral
services were held last Wednesday and all the ministers in the town
took part in the services.
