APGAR.

Mrs. Matilda Apgar, wife of A. B. Apgar, died at her home in Huntingdon
on Thursday, October 17th, following an illness of one week, due
principally to the infirmities of old age. She was born September 10th,
1836, and was aged 82 years, 1 month and 7 days. She was a highly
esteemed lady, and well and favorably known throughout the community.
She is survived by her husband and two sons: John Apgar, of Clearfield
county, and Albert M. Apgar, of this place. Short services were
conducted at her home on Saturday morning by Rev. George S. Womer,
after which the funeral cortege departed for Bowman's chapel, in the
Trough Creek valley, where the interment took place.
