MRS. MARY E. ADDLEMAN.
Died at her Home in Warriorsmark Valley, Near the Cross Roads.

Mrs. Mary E. Addleman, whose maiden name was Mary Elizabeth Johnson,
died at her home in the Warriorsmark valley, a mile distant from Cross
Roads, at 4.15 o'clock this morning. Friday morning last she was
stricken with paralysis, and on Sunday evening, she received a second
attack rendering her entirely helpless and unconscious, in which
condition she remained until her death. She had suffered from heart
trouble and dropsy the past two years. She would have been 59 years
old had she lived until next September.
Coming there from Milesburg, Mrs. Addleman and her family resided in
Warriorsmark and in the Warriorsmark valley the past twenty-two years.
She was the mother of five children, one of whom died in infancy. Her
eldest son, Ernest L. Addleman, died about three years ago. The other
three are living, viz: Verner C., who resides in Tyrone, and Joseph P.
and Alva J., both residing at the homestead in Warriorsmark valley.
One brother, W. W. Johnson, survives also and resides in Altoona.
The deceased was a member of the Warriorsmark M. E. church. She was
charged with the sole responsibility of rearing her family of children
from the time they were all quite young, and as a devoted mother she
was faithful to the trust, being a kind hearted and intelligent woman.
The funeral will be held Thursday forenoon. Services at the
Warriorsmark M. E. church at 10 o'clock by Rev. R. T. Whiteley. The
cortege will leave the house at 9 30 o'clock. Interment at the
Warriorsmark cemetery.
