Edna Ruth Aycock, 74, of Alapaha died March 20, 2014, at Archbold memorial 
Hospital in Thomasville.
 Born January 23, 1940, in Ocilla to the late Robert and Mattie Spicer DeBerry, 
she was a homemaker and retired secretary with the Berrien County Board of 
Education. She was a member of Alapaha Baptist Church and the widow of Benjamin 
Hilliard "Ben" Aycock who died on January 6, 2008. she was also preceded in 
death by three brothers and a sister.
 She is survived by two daughters, Jean Drawdy of Omega and Staci (B.B.) Ball of 
Eldorado; brother, Elton (Elaine) DeBerry of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren, 
Jason (Melissa) Drawdy, Jon Drawdy, Austin Ball, Benjamin Ball; great-grandson, 
Jayson Drawdy.
 Funeral services were held March 23 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral 
Home, the Rev. Kenneth Kicklighter, former interim  pastor of Alapaha Baptist 
Church, officiating. Ken DeBerry, nephew gave a eulogy.
 Interment followed at Spring Cemetery in Irwin County with Paul Weldon 
officiating.
  Lovein Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
