Stormer: Reynoldsville -- William E. Stormer, Reynoldsville, a retail grocer and a former borough councilman, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday following an extended illness. He was 88. Mr. Stormer, a resident here since 1895 was the father of Mrs. Karl (Lena) Brewer ofDu Bois. He had also served as vice president and director of the First National Bank of Reynoldsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Eugene F. Smith Funeral Home here by Rev. A. Caruso. Burial will be in Reynoldsville Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Stormer was born June 14, 1877 i Worthville, son of John and Chesta Bussard Stormer. He married Mary Ellen Reitz. She preceded him in death. Mr. Stormer came to Reynoldsville to work as a meat cutter for George Bussard in 1895. He later established his own retail grocery store which he operated until he was succeeded by his grandson William H. Stormer. He remained active in the store until just recently. He was a member of the First Methodist Church here. Surviving is a son, Samuel D., Ardmore; a step-son, Frank Bussard, Reynoldsville, a daughter, Mrs. Lena Brewer, DuBois; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, M. M.
