  Martha Eahelman Simpson died May 26, 1941
  
  Death Monday May 26, 1941, claimed SummervilleÕs oldest resident, Mrs.
  Martha Eahelman Simpson.  She succumbed at the age of 93 years, 4 months,
  and 6 days; several days after suffering a fractured hip.
  	
  Born in Westmoreland county Jan 20, 1848, the daughter of the late Jacob and
  Hannah (Hauge) Eshelman, the deceased was united in marriage with Joseph
  Calvin Simpson in Summerville, where they spent all their life.  Mr. Simpson
  and two sons, Harry H. and Elwyn R., preceded Mrs. Simpson in death.  She is
  the last surviving member of her family.
  	
  Surviving are a son, A. Ernest Simpson, and a daughter, Mae Simpson, of
  Summerville.  Two grandsons, Joseph Simpson of Summerville, R. D. and Eugene
  Simpson of Summerville, and a great grandson, Leland George Simpson also
  survive.
  	
  Mrs. Simpson was a devout member of the Presbyterian church and well known
  to every resident of Summerville where she was held in exceptionally high
  esteem.
  	
  Funeral services were held May 29 at 2:00 oÕclock from the home, with Rev.
  Wayne Furman, a relative, of Erie, and Rev. H. W. Logan officiating.
  Interment was made in the Carrier cemetery at Summerville.
