  Carrie Hankey Simpson died August 18, 1941
  
  Mrs. Carrie Hankey Simpson died in the Brookville Hospital Monday, August
  18, 1941, from injuries received when she was struck by a truck on Thursday,
  June 26, 1941. She was born March 7, 1874, a daughter of Manassa and Elvina
  Byers Hankey, of Oak Ridge.
  	
  She is survived by her husband, John T. Simpson; six children, Mrs. Bell
  Gobel, of Clarion; Mrs. J. M. Hindman and Mrs. Newell Moore, of Corsica;
  Merle Simpson, Sharon; Willard Simpson, Hubbard, Ohio, and Mrs. George
  McCormick, Franklin, Nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also
  survive.  One brother, J. E. Hankey, Butler, and one sister, Mrs. J. H.
  Dodson, of New Bethlehem, survive.
  	
  Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian church, Corsica, in
  which funeral services were held at 2:30 oÕclock Wednesday afternoon, August
  20.  Interment was made in the church cemetery.
  	
  Mrs. Simpson was crossing the street in Corsica when she was struck by a
  truck driven by Lloyd Stahlman, Strattanville.  Witnesses said she stepped
  into the path of the truck. The driver of the truck was exonerated of blame.
