  JEFFERSONIAN DEMOCRAT, Brookville, Jefferson County, PA, November 28, 2007:
  
  E. Mae Schuckers, 93, of Trout Run Road, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, 
  November 21 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
  
  Born April 3, 1914 in Knox Township, she was the daughter of the late John 
  Oliver and Roxie LaRue (Snyder) Weaver. She was married to Ralph M. Schuckers, 
  a farmer, who preceded her in death in 1991. 
  
  Mrs. Schuckers worked on the family farm with her husband and attended the 
  farmers market to sell produce raised by the family.
  
  She was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. She worked as secretary for 
  the First English Lutheran Church. Serving on the board of the church council 
  for years, she also initiated the First English Lutheran Church Women's 
  organization. Mrs. Schuckers enjoyed helping people, which included shut-ins 
  and often drove others to church. She truly enjoyed being the bookkeeper for 
  Town & Country Lutheran Ministries.
  
  Mrs. Schuckers graduated with honors from DuBois Business College in 1958.
  
  She worked as a caseworker for Jefferson County Assistance Office, a secretary 
  at Loree Shoe Factory. Mrs. Schuckers was a teacher's aid at Bell Township 
  School and she helped start the first PTA at the school.
  
  Surviving are two sons, Grant Montier Schuckers of Punxsutawney and Ohmar 
  Doyle (wife Charlotte) Schuckers of Big Run, one daughter, Mrs. William (Mary 
  Ann) Patterson of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren and seven great-
  grandchildren.
  
  Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and one brother, Gerald 
  Weaver.
  
  Funeral services were held on Saturday at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, officiated 
  by Rev. Raymond Sistek. Interment followed at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow 
  Township. Arrangements were handled by Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., 
  Big Run.
  
  Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion - First English Lutheran Church, 
  Gilpin St., Punxsutawney.
