  JACK E. CRAWFORD
  
  Jack E. Crawford, 91, Highland View Health Care, Brockway, died Thursday at 
  Highland View.
  
  Born Jan. 24, 1915, in Brockway, he was the son of the late Willis and Nellie 
  Allen Crawford. He was married to Hazel R. Engwell. She preceded him in death 
  Dec. 18, 2001.
  
  He served in the U.S. Army as a truck driver during World War II over the 
  Burma Road in India, hauling supplies to the Flying Tigers American-manned 
  fighter plane unit. He also served with the Office of the Theater Surgeon, 
  helping to immunize the new 6th Chinese Army.
  
  He was a clay worker for Brockway Clay Company before retiring.
  
  He was a member of the Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway.
  
  He was a member of the American Legion Parson-Marnati Post No. 95 in Brockway.
  
  He enjoyed hunting and going to deer camp.
  
  He is survived by one son, Terry Crawford of Brockport; one daughter, 
  Jacqueline Hoober of Lititz; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 
  seven step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
  
  He was also preceded in death by one brother, James; and one sister, Anna 
  Renwick.
  
  CRAWFORD: Jack E., Highland View Health Care, Brockway, died April 13, 2006. 
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Carlson-Shugarts 
  Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. 
  Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Walter Hehman officiating. Burial 
  will be in Temple Cemetery in Hazen, with full military honors accorded 
  graveside. Memorial donations may be made to Brockway Anbulance.
