 Betty Sue Flanders Baker, age 74, of Pearson, GA passed away on Sunday, July 
13, 2014, at her residence following an extended illness.
 Mrs. Baker was born on July 10, 1940, in Pearson, GA to the late Colonel 
Washington Flanders and Viola Odessa Crozier Flanders.
 Survivors include her two sons, Randy (Terry) Hulsey of Ocilla, GA and Al Wayne 
(Benita) Hulsey of Douglas, GA; two stepdaughters, Debbie (Tim) Brown of 
Niceville, FL and Susie (Jim) Longman of Crestview, FL; brother-in-law, Archie 
Hodge; two sisters-in-law, Sue Pharr Flanders and Evelyn Caves Flanders; six 
grandchildren, Brandon (Kathy) Hulsey, Candice (Josh) Hood, Rebecca (Max) Bache, 
Jody Ray (Megan) Hulsey, Kaycee Gilliard, and Hannah Suzann Hulsey; eight step-
grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; special caregiver, Leona Tukes and 
several nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baker and former husband, 
Carl Albert Hulsey; two brothers, Thomas Flanders, jimmy Ray Flanders and a 
sister, Timmie Lee Flanders Hodge.
 Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Mora Baptist 
Church with Rev. Bobby Fussell and Rev. Dennis Harper officiating. Music was 
furnished for the service by Church Choir, Al Wayne Hulsey, Randy Hulsey and 
John Kent “Melody of old favorites,” “Take my Hand Precious lord,” and “Sweet 
Beulah land” with Al Wayne Hulsey and Lois Mills playing the piano.
 Interment followed at Arna Church Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Brandon Hulsey, Jody Ray Hulsey, Jimmy Hodge, Pee Wee 
Flanders, Dustin Walker, Cole Flanders, Clay Flanders, Clay Davis, Henry Smith, 
Jr.
 Honorary pallbearers were Shawn Walker, Tommy Flanders, Plenn Moore, Joey 
Morris, Terrell Hulsey, Billy O. Smith, Harry Smith, D.B. Morris, Henry McKinnon 
and Teddy Morris.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
