Our Mountain Home July 8, 1903
At Campbell's Crossroads, near Lineville, Clay County, Dr. Smith was seriously
cut in the back by Alex Bolt, and the injury may prove fatal. Ed McClellan and
Homer Moon were about to engage in a difficulty and Dr. Moon was trying to make
peace. Bolt thought Dr. Smith was taking sides with Moon, and entered the fray,
with above result. All parties are prominently connected and were attending a
Fourth of July jollification.

Additional Comments:
Alex Bolt was convicted of Attempted Murder and sent to prison.
