WILTON S. DUFFIELD was born at Wheeling, Ohio Co. West Virginia in
1810.  He served as U.S. Marshall in the Territory of Arizona from March
10, 1863 to April 11, 1866, arriving in Tucson on January 17, 1864.  Mr.
Duffield was shot and killed by Joseph T. Holmes at the Brunakow Mine
near the San Pedro River, Arizona Territory on June 5, 1874 at the age
of 63.  He was buried where he fell.
