Mary Whinery Todd

AMERICUS — Mary Whinery Todd, 67, of Moore Drive died Sunday, October 13, 2002, 
at Sumter Regional Hospital.

A native of Kansas City, MO, Mrs. Todd was born September 2, 1935, daughter of 
the late Dr. Joseph F. Whinery and Margaret Widdicomb Whinery. She was a 
homemaker and a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.

A memorial service will be held in the Martha McDonald Chapel of Magnolia Manor 
at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday with Father Reginald Gunn officiating. In lieu of 
flowers, memorials may be made to the League of the Good Samaritan, c/o 
Magnolia Manor, 2001 S. Lee Street, Americus, GA 31709.

Survivors include her husband, Hal Todd of Americus; one daughter and son-in-
law, Margot Evans and Ron of Cairo; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Todd and 
Tina of Americus; two sisters, Susan Porter of Grayland, MI, and Elizabeth Dry 
of East Jordan, MI; one brother, Joe F. Whinery Jr. of Providence, RI; five 
grandchildren, Adam Kent Todd, Brittany Alyse Todd, Chase Nathaniel Todd, all 
of Americus, and Amber Christine Evans and Forrest James Evans of Cairo.
