Moultrie Observer Daily, May 25, 1910
              MRS PERSONS PASSES AWAY
Wife of Mr. R. T. Persons Died at 2:00 This Afternoon

Moultrie was cast into the deepest gloom this afternoon when news spread over
the city that Mrs. R. T. Persons, the young wife of one of Moultrie's leading
business men, had breathed her last.
Mrs. Persons was a conscientious christian and a member of the Methodist
Church. She had been critically ill for several days, but owing to the skilled
assistance and loving hands that attended her, much hope was entertained for
her recovery, but alas, no human aid could benefit her, and at 2 o'clock this
afternoon her young life was brought to a sad and sudden end.
Mrs. Persons, who, before her marriage was a Miss Bloodworth, had only resided
here about a year, coming here from Butler, Ga, as a bride. She was not long
in winning her way into the hearts of every one in Moultrie who met her, and
her death is a severe shock to her many admirers.
The many friends of the heart-broken husband and relatives of the young woman
deeply sympathizes with them in their great loss.
