Opal Lynch Gray

CORDELE — Funeral services will be held for Opal Lynch Gray at 11 a.m. Thursday 
in the chapel  of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow
in the Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the
funeral home from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.Wednesday. The family suggests donations be   
made to Morningside Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Gray, 79, died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at the Crisp Regional Hospital. A 
native of Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. Lynch 
and Emerald Stone Lynch. She worked many years in the library  for  the  Crisp  
County School System and later as a mail courier for the U.S. Postal Service. 
She was a member of the Morningside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband,  George  W.  Gray  of Cordele; son, Chuck Gray 
and his  wife, Teresa  of  Cordele; daughters, Rita Gray of Cordele and   
Connie   Shadeed   of  Jacksonville,  FL;  her  sisters,  Irene Whitaker of 
Wacissa, FL, Dorothy Currie of Huston, FL, and Merle Hazen of Milton, FL; a
step-granddaughter,Nancy Hayes; and step-great-grandson, Nicholas Phillips.
