The Atkinson County Citizen - August 13, 2009
 Mrs. Millie Ann Dees passed away at her residence in Nashville, GA on 
Saturday, August 8, 2009. Mrs. Dees was born on Saturday, August 8, 1928 in 
Atkinson Co., GA. Her parents were the late Elbert Corbitt and Laura 
Summerlin. Dees was a member of Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church.
 Survivors include husband, Cleo Herbert Dees of Nashville; 4 daughters, 
Elaine Ammons, Gloria Heaton, Candy Troupe, Charlotte Stone; son, Paul Jewell; 
sister, Mae Mott. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survived.
 Preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Jewell; a daughter, Laura Dees; 
a son, James Jewell, and a sister, Willie Dean Rowe. 
 Services were held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home. Presiding over services was Elder Robert Skinner with 
appropriate music being provided by CD.
 Graveside services were held at Willacoochee City Cemetery. Visitation was 
held Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville, GA.
 Active pallbearers were Mike Helms, Charles Jewell, Clay Lott, Bobby Mancil, 
Jamie West and Al Cleghorn.
 Lovein Funeral Home was responsible for funeral arrangements.
