 Thomas James Davis, 84, of Nashville died October 22, 2004 at South Georgia 
Medical Center in Valdosta.

 Born August 15, 1920 in Atkinson Co. to the late Joe Watson and Olife Taft 
Davis, he was a retired M/Sgt. USAF, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, a 
U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired insurance agent. He was a member of 
Nashville Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was married to 
the late Genevieve Shiflet Davis.

 Survivors include daughter, Cheryl Loretta Gagon of Cave Creek, AZ; three 
sons, Marvin Davis of Salt Lake City, UT, John James Davis of Springfield, MO,  
Thomas Grant Davis of Layton, UT; sister, Verma Lee May of Nashville; brother, 
Osborne Davis of Demorest; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, 
numerous great-great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held October 26 at 2 p.m. at Nashville Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints with S.G. Solomon, Jr. and Hal Walker officiating. 
The congregation sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and Stephanie Duranczyk and Katie 
Walker sang "I Heard Him Come."

 Interment was in Little Utah Cemetery in Atkinson County.

 Active pallbearers were Greg May, Carol May, Cary Gagon, John Davis, Virgil 
Bennett, Gary White.

 Honorary pallbearers were Ed Flanagan and Tommy Spikes.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
