 Mr. Marion D. “Bunk” Davis age 78 of Axson, GA passed away Sunday morning May 30
30, 2010 at his residence following a short illness.
 Born August 9, 1931 in Axson, GA Mr. Davis was the son of Orbie D. and Inez C
Corbitt Davis. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean C
Conflict. He attended the Axson Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in d
death by brothers, Lee L. Davis, Vernell Davis, Billy Davis and Elton Davis, g
grandson Tony Davis and granddaughter Chrystal Davis.
 Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary S. Davis of Axson, GA; daughter, 
Teresa Stults and husband Bob of Axson, GA; sons, Lester Davis (Lillie) of 
Axson, GA, Ricky Davis (Shelia) of Axson, GA, Mike Davis (Ruth) of Axson, GA, 
and Mickey Davis of Axson, GA; sisters Luvelle Mullis of Axson, GA, Jean Joyner 
and husband (Albert) of Waycross, GA, Mary Ann Zorn and Husband (Bill) of 
Axson, GA, Delores Bennett and husband (Huey) of Millwood, GA and Evelyn Steele 
of Waycross, GA; brother, Orbie Davis, Jr and wife (Carole) of Waycross, GA; 3 
sisters-in-law, Betty Davis of Nahunta, GA, Cecile Davis of Axson, GA and 
Elouise Davis of Fairfax, GA; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren a
and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Davis were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 
the Axson Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Rob Hutto, Rev. Hinton Johnson 
and Bro. Brian Buffington officiating. Special musical selections “Daddy’s 
Home,” “Ain’t No Grave” and “Don’t Worry Bout Me” were rendered by Charles and T
Tammy Wood with Charles Wood on the guitar. The interment followed in Axson C
Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by a Military Contingent from Fort S
Stewart, GA.
 Active pallbearers were Tommie Spikes, Fred Mullis, Larry “Possum” Corbitt, Steve
Steve Bennett, Chris Davis, Henry Mancil.
 Honorary pallbearers were Jeanie Pittman, Jessica McNulty, Arnie Herrin, Andy Roya
Royals, Jack May, Jeffrey White, Jeffrey Butler, Jimmy Harris, Greg Bennett.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
