Atkinson County Citizen - 
 Mrs. Lucille Corbitt Davis, age 86, of Pearson, GA passed away Monday, March 15,
15, 2010 at Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center in Douglas, GA fol
following an extended illness.
 A native of Coffee County, Mrs. Davis was born December 5, 1923 daughter of Da
David Richard and Rebecca Vickers Corbitt. She had made her home in Atkinson Co
County for most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended Ozias  Freewill Ba
Baptist Church. Her husband, Melvin S. Davis and a grandson Edward Davis pr
preceded her in death.
 Survivors include sons, Melvin Hugh Davis and wife Alice Faye of Pearson, GA, E
Edward Eugene Davis and wife Diane of Pearson, GA, Jimmy Dale Davis and wife S
Sheila of Pearson, GA; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several n
nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 
at Ozias Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Chaney and Rev. Charlie Dunn 
officiating. Special musical selections included “I’m Not Afraid” rendered by 
soloist/pianist Michael Johnson and “Beulah Land” rendered by soloist Bob And
Andrews with taped accompaniment. The interment followed in Utah Cemetery near Axs
Axson, GA.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Rick Davis, Scott Davis, Joey Davis, Ch
Christopher Davis, Stacy Wilson, Kyle Delk.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
