Atkinson County Citizen - November 2004
 Mrs. Evon B. Davis, age 52, of Pearson, GA passed away Thursday, November 18, 
2004 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Valdosta, GA following an extended illness.

 A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Davis was born July 10, 1952 daughter of 
Garland and Ruby Bowen Burch. She was a homemaker and attended Pearson Church 
of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Davis.

 Survivors include; husband, Jimmy Davis of Pearson, GA, son, Derrell Davis and 
wife, Tasha of Pearson, GA, daughter Jenny Brigmond and husband Russell of 
Douglas, GA; brother Ronald Gene Burch and wife Tassie of Pearson, GA; 2 
sisters, Reba Batten and husband Ealie of Pearson, GA, Marie Bennett and 
husband Jasper of Pearson, GA, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews 
also survive.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 21, 2004 
at the Church of God of Prophecy in Pearson, GA with Rev. Hardy Crosby, Rev. 
Charles Brown and Rev. Elaine Keene officiating.

 Special music selections included "This Road That I Travel" rendered by Rev. 
Steven Keene and Regina Stone with Rev. Steven Keene accompanying at the 
piano, "Aint" No Grave Gonna Hold This Body" rendered by Allen Jewel 
accompanied by tape, "Just Find Jesus" rendered by grand daughter Jessica 
Brigmond by tape and "Amazing Grace" rendered by the congregation with Rev. 
Steven Keene accompanying at the piano. Soft music for Prelude and Postlude was 
provided by Rev. Steve Keene, pianist. The interment followed in Sunnyside 
Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Stan Beasley, Van Beasley, Jason Brown, 
David Oglesby, Glynn and Kevin Batten.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
