Atkinson County Citizen - October 12, 2006
 Mrs. Betty J. Corbitt Davis, age 75 of Pearson, GA passed away Thursday, Oct. 
5, 2006 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA following an extended illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Davis was born Nov. 5, 1930 daughter of 
Lester and Mattie Douglas Corbitt. She was a homemaker and a member of Arna 
Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband 
Melvin "Dick" Davis and a son Cary Davis, Sr.
 Survivors include two daughters Brenda Stone and husband Woodrow of Pearson, 
GA and Lessie Youngblood and husband Wallace of Pearson, GA, five sons, Larry 
D. Davis and wife Betsy of Manor, GA, Timothy Dale Davis and wife Alphine of 
Manor, GA, Michael L. Davis of Pearson, Ga, Lester B. Davis and wife Becky of 
Pearson, GA, George D. Davis of Pearson, GA.
 Sister, Mattie Lou SMith and husband Henry of Pearson, GA. 20 grandchildren, 
14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006 at 
Arna Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Robert Skinner officiating. The Eulogy 
was given by her daughter Brenda Stone. Special musical selections 
included "The Love Of God Is Indescribable" and "Amazing Grace" rendered by the 
Primitive Baptist Singers. The interment followed in Arna Cemetery.
 Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons Andrew Davis, Marshall Davis, Craig 
Stone, Jody Stone, Scott Stone, Danny Davis, Timothy Davis, Mathew Davis, Mike 
Davis, Cary Davis, Jr., Lige Youngblood, Christopher Davis.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
