Atkinson County Citizen - December 13, 2007
 Mr. Homer Lee Daniels, age 76 of Pearson, GA passed away on Thursday, after an 
extended illness at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA. Mr. Daniels, 
a native of Douglas County, GA was born August 7, 1931. He is the son of the 
late Matt Ballow and Mattie Daniels. He was a retired maintenance man with the 
mobile home industry.
 Survivors include wife, Rena McKinnon Daniels, Pearson, GA; sons, Johnny 
Daniels of Pearson, Greg Daniels of Douglas, GA; half brothers, John William 
(Theresa) Ballew, Carollton, GA, Charles (Jean) Ballew, Temple, GA, Edward 
(Mitza) Ballew, Tallapoosa, GA; half sister, Kate Weazer, Carrollton, GA, 
Frances Hilton, Breman, GA, Nellie (Eric) Choney, Oklahoma City, OK, Betty Jean 
Willhoite, Breman, GA; grandchildren, Jonathan Lee Daniels, Pearson, GA, Diane 
Renae Stewart, Jennifer Corbitt Key, Douglas, GA; five great grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Sims 
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. Soloist, Kay Campbell 
sang "Amazing Grace" with Iris McElhaney, pianist. "The Old Rugged Cross" 
and "Precious Memories" were provided by tape.
 Burial took place in the Sunnyside Church Cemetery in Atkinson County.
 Active pallbearers were Russell McKinnon, James Travis McKinnon, Edward 
McKinnon, Roy McDonald, Simon McDonald, Matthew McDonald.
 Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
