Atkinson County Citizen - January 19, 2006
 Mr. James Thomas Critzer, age 73 of Pearson, GA passed away Monday, January 9, 
2006 at Smith Northview Hospital in Valdosta, GA following an extended illness.
 Mr. Critizer was born in Albemarle County, VA August 12, 1932, son of 
Slaughter and Tinnie Critzer Critzer. He had been a long time resident of 
Pearson, GA where he worked as a truck driver in the manufactured housing 
industry. He was a member of Cornerstone Church in Pearson. Mr. Critzer was 
preceded in death by 3 sons, Mark Sheler Critzer, Kenneth Sheler Critzer and 
Jesse Critzer and daughter Mary Critzer.
 Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Burnett Critzer of Pearson, GA; daughters 
Dorothy Yarbrough of Columbia, SC and Janet Lynn Critzer of Pearson, GA; 
stepson, David Sheler of Union Springs, AL; stepdaughter, Cathy Stone of 
Columbia, SC, several grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces 
and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Critzer were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 
2006 at Cornerstone Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Allan Arowood and Rev. Sam 
DeCasper officiating. Special musical selections included "The Lighhouse" 
and "Servant's Heart" rendered by Dee Register, Alisha Amerson, Michele Harrell 
and Francine Fender with Francine Fender accompanying at the piano. Soft music 
for the prelude and postlude was provided by Francine Fender, pianist. 
 The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Bo Fender, Steve Harrell, Glenn Harrell, 
Jimmy Amerson, Gene Sizemore, Eddie Cribb.
 Relihan Funeral home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
