 Mrs. Dorothy Burnett Critzer, age 70, of Pearson, GA passed away Friday, F
February 17, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an e
extended illness.
 Born November 20, 1941 in Wytheville, VA, Mrs. Critzer was the daughter of the 
late Guy and Ila Shockley Burnett. Mrs. Critzer had made her home in Pearson 
for many years and worked as a seamstress for many years in the garment 
industry. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Pearson, GA. She was 
preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Critzer, three sons Mark Sheler
Critzer
Critzer, Kenneth Critzer, and Jesse Critzer and a daughter, Mary Critzer.
 Survivors include son, David Sheler of Elmore, AL; daughter, Janet Lynn Critzer
Critzer of Pearson, GA; Step-daughters, Dorothy Yarbrough of Columbia, SC and 
Cathy Stone of Columbia, SC; granddaughters, Pricilla Sheler of Greenville, MS 
and Kristy Sheler of West Green, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral service for Mrs. Critzer were held 3 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 
Cornerstone Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Sam DeCasper and Rev. Allen 
Arrowwood officiating. Special musical selections included “When We Get to 
Heaven,” rendered by the attending congregation with Francine Fender, pianist 
and Harriet Youngblood, organist, and “I want us to be Together in Heaven,” rendered
by CD. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Francine Fender,
pianist and Harriet Youngblood, organist.
 The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Bo Fender, Gene Sizemore, Darrell Youngblood, Jimmy Music, Steve
Harrell, Eddie Cribb.
