 Mr. Marlow Corbitt age 59 of Axson, GA passed away Sunday, December 12, 
2010 at Holly hill Nursing Home in Valdosta, GA following an extended 
illness.
 Born December 24, 1950 in Holyoke, Mass, Mr. Corbitt was the son of the 
late Curtis and Mary Alice Taft Corbitt. He made his home in the Pearson and 
Axson area for most of his life. He worked as a Independent Crop Insurance 
Adjustor for many years and was also involved in selling Nascar memorabilia 
before being injured in a motor vehicle accident 6 and half years ago. He 
was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Georgia Hunting and 
Fishing Federation. He was also involved in judging fox hunts for many 
years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
 Survivors include wife Donna Corbitt of Axson, GA; son Mark Corbitt and 
wife Miranda of Valdosta, GA; daughter Kristy Shaw and husband Jason of 
Valdosta, GA; brother, Ashley Corbitt and wife Diane of Atlanta, GA; 
grandchildren A.J. Shaw and Alex Shaw, several nieces and nephews also 
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Corbitt were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 14, 2010 
at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Chaney, Rev. William 
Pope and Rev. Carroll Carver officiating. Special musical selections 
included "Wings Of A Dove" rendered by Bill and Pam Huffstuttler with CD 
accompaniment and "Amazing Grace" rendered by Pam Huffstuttler with CD 
accompaniment. Soft music for prelude and postlude was provided by Patricia 
Corbitt. 
 The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Tom Morris, James Gore, Rick Disharoom, 
Keith Disharoom, Darrell Loveless, Bobby Dasher.
 Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell White, Hugh Davis, Lee Corbitt, Mann 
Corbitt, David Wildes.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of arrangements.
