Atkinson County Citizen - January 2005
 Mrs. Janie Clement, age 92, of Riverdale, GA formerly of the Kirkland 
community passed away Saturday, December 25, 2004 at Southern Regional Medical 
Center in Riverdale, GA following an extended illness.

 A native of Coffee County, Mrs. Clement was born May 10, 1912 daughter of John 
and Lucy Graves Lott. She had made her home in Atkinson County for most of her 
life until moving to live with her daughter eleven years ago. She was retired 
food service worker from the Atkinson County School System and a member of 
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Earnie Clement and a son, John H. Clement.

 Survivors include two daughters, Neoma Gaskins of Riverdale, GA and Earnestine 
Stuart and husband Mirl of Lake City, FL; one son, Earl A. Clement of Ormond 
Beach, FL; two brothers, Gerald Lott of Neptune, NJ and Frank Lott of 
Douglasville, GA and one sister Lou Annie Wright of Douglas, GA. eleven 
grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Clement were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 
2004 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Futch and Rev. Tom 
Daugherty officiating. Special musical selections included "Abide in Me" 
and "Amazing Grace" rendered by soloist Ginger Austin with Lilla Deems 
accompanying at the piano. Lilla Deems pianist provided soft music for the 
Prelude and the Postlude. The interment followed in Antioch Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Benjamin Gaskins, Lee Gaskins, Buddy 
Mitchell, Jerry Wayne Lott, Jesse Edward Tanner and Leroy Broussard.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
