Atkinson County Citizen - July 28, 2005
 Mrs. Elizann Giddens Clement, age 90, of Douglas, GA formerly of Pearson 
passed away Sunday morning, July 17, 2005 at Coffee Regional medical Center in 
Douglas following an extended illness.

 A native of Atkinson County, Mrs. Clement was born October 5, 1914 daughter of 
Teedom and Beadie Burch Giddens. She was a homemaker and a member of Sunnyside 
Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Clement was preceded in death by her husband, 
Cleon Clement.

 Survivors include: four sons and their wives, Alton Clement and his wife 
Alvita of Tifton, Horace Clement and wife Jan of Fort Pierce, FL, Benny Clement 
and wife Cretia of Douglas, and Edward Lee Clement and wife Daphne of Fort 
Pierce, FL; daughter Shelby Jean McKinnon and husband E.G. of Douglas; brother 
A.K. Giddens of Waycross and three sisters Leona Lewis of Pearson, Cora Belle 
Pafford of Jacksonville, FL and Dorothy McClean of Alma, GA.

 Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and 
nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Clement were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 
2005 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Sim 
Youngblood, Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Teddy Burch officiating. Special 
musical selections included "When I've Traveled My Last Mile," "I Want Us To Be 
In Heaven," and "What Will I Leave Behind" rendered by the Sunnyside Ladies 
with Margaret Williams accompanying at the piano. Soft music for the Prelude 
and Postlude was provided by Margaret Williams, pianist. The interment followed 
in Sunnyside Cemetery.

 Serving as active pallbearers were Ronnie Clement, Chris Clement, John 
Clement, Eddie McKinnon, Lance McKinnon and Logan Clemons.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga was in charge of the arrangements.
