Aktinson County Citizen - November 13, 2012
 Mr. Kenneth Irwin Cecil age 74 of Pearson, GA formerly of Cumberland, MD p
passed away at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following a brief i
illness.
 A native of LaVelle, MD, Mr. Cecil has made his home in Pearson, GA for the 
past 11 years. He was born on July 15, 1938, the son of Irwin and Delores Smith 
Cecil. Mr. Cecil retired from CSX, where he worked as a machinist/mechanic for 
16 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of The 
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, GA. Mr. Cecil was p
preceded in death by a son, Raymond Ben Cecil.
 Survivors include, wife Virginia Cecil of Pearson, GA; 7 sons, Kenneth Wada 
Cecil of Buffalo Valley, TN, David Eugene Cecil and wife Janine of Chattanooga, 
TN, Douglas Todd Cecil of Sacramento, CA, Ronald Wesley Cecil and wife Doraliza 
of Spanish Fork, UT, Timothy Mark Cecil and wife Tonya of Pearson, GA, and 
Bryant Jadd Cecil and wife Kimberly of Waycross, GA; sisters, Teresa Brooks of O
Orange City, FL and Linda Carter of Orange City, FL.; 16 grandchildren, one g
great grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Cecil were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 
2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pearson, GA with 
Bishop Kevin Merrell and Bishop Lamar Park officiating. The Eulogy was 
presented by Mr. Cecil’s son David Cecil. Special musical selection 
included “Nearer My God to Thee” rendered by soloist, Judith Adams with Tonya 
Cecil accompanying at the piano, “O, My Father” and “God be with You Till we 
Meet Again” rendered by the congregation with Tonya Cecil accompanying at the pan
pano. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provi8de by Tonya Cecil, pia
pianist.
 Graveside services and interment followed at Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Hi
Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Cumberland, MD.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
