 Mr. Harvey Lavon Browning, age 78, of Douglas, GA, formerly of Pearson, GA p
passed away Tuesday evening, November 6, 2012 at his residence following an i
illness of several months.
 A native of Pearson GA, Mr. Browning was born April 23, 1934, son of Charlie 
and Myrtle McKinnon Browning. He retired the construction business and in more 
recent years was well known around the Douglas, GA area as the “Tator Man” due t
to his selling of fresh produce, especially sweet potatoes. Mr. Browning was a m
member of Fales Pentecostal Church.
 Survivors include: Wife, Brenda Moon Browning of Douglas, GA; 3 daughters, 
Diane Vining and Terry of Pearson, GA, Debra Burch and husband Ronnie of 
Nichols, GA and Donna Day and husband Jamey of Brunswick, GA; sister, Mary Lou 
Hodge of Pearson, GA; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several n
nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Browning were held Friday at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater 
Methodist Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Edgar Musgrove, Rev. Gerald Gardner 
and Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Special musical selections included “Angels 
in the Room.” “Stroll over Heaven,” and “The Lord is my Best Friend” rendered by t
by the Musgrove Family with Billy Musgrove accompany at the guitar. Soft music for 
for the prelude and postlude was rendered by guitarist, Billy Musgrove. 
 The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Mike Faulkner, Gary Merritt, Buddy Br
Browning, Morris Browning, Bobby Rowland, Jamey Coker.
 Serving as honorary pallbearers were Colin Smith, Gerald Faulkner, Curtis W
Wright, Huey Beasley, Don Taylor, Bethany Hospice.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
