Atkinson County Citizen - November 22, 2012
 Mrs. Evelyn Justus Allen, age 75, of Pearson, GA passed away Sunday, November 1
11, 2012 at her home following an extended illness.
 A native of Buckannon Co., VA, Mrs. Allen was born September 21, 1937, 
daughter of Lloyd and Violet Justus. She had made her home in Pearson, GA since 
1996. Before moving to Pearson, Mrs. Allen had lived in Tampa, FL and worked at 
Rubber Enterprises as a tile cutter. She was a member of Sunnyside Freewill 
Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Berlin 
Woodrow “Woody” Allen.
 Survivors include two sons, Lloyd Thomas Allen and wife Andrea of Tarpon 
Springs, FL and Joseph Edward Allen and wife Brandy of Pearson, GA; step-son, 
Carl Allen of Tampa, FL; brother, Paul Justus of Hurley, VA; sister, Nina 
Justus; 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and n
nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 
2012 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Burch and wife Judy 
officiating. Special musical selections included, “Heaven is Mine,” “A Place 
I’ve Never Been Before,” “Keeping my Bags Packed” and “Sweet By and By” provided by
CD. Soft music for the prelude and postlude were provided by Margaret Williams,
Pianist. 
The interment followed in Sunnyside Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Tim

 Serving as active pallbearers were Tim Baglin, Joseph E. Allen, Lloyd Thomas 
Allen, Shane Anderson, Chris Crosby, Russell Hurlbert.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
