Atkinson County Citizen - February 16, 2006
 Ms. Susie L. Adams, age 94, of Shady Acres Convalescent Home, formerly of 
Pearson, GA passed away Monday morning, February 6, 2006 at Shady Acres 
following an extended illness.
 Ms. Adams, daughter of James C. and Sally Ruth Berry Adams, was born September 
6, 1911 in a part of Coffee County which is now Atkinson County. She was a 
Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of Elbethel Church in Pearson, GA.
 Survivors include brothers, Fred Adams of Inverness, FL, Norman Adams of 
Floral City, FL, Charles Henry Adams of Floral City, FL; several nieces and 
nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Ms. Adams were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 
2006 in Elbethel Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Carlie Lastinger and Rev. 
Curtis Corbitt officiating. Special musical selections included "Because He 
Lives" and "How Great Thou Art" rendered by soloist Preston Moore, acappella. 
Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by Catherine Tanner, 
Pianist. The interment followed in Sweetwater Cemetery with Preston Moore 
singing "Amazing Grace" at the graveside.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Carlie Lastinger, Jr., Larry Lastinger, 
Terry Lastinger, Bruce Lastinger, Adam Lastinger, Jeffery White.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
