Our Mountain Home January 2, 1901
Last week at Barlett & Worthy's steam ginnery and sawmill in Clay County, Frank
Cofield, in trying to remove a piece of lumber from the saw while in motion, was
struck by a piece of the timber, which inflicted a very dangerous wound in the
face, from which it is thought he will probably die, as it seems almost
impossible to control the hemorrhages.
