SPRINGER 1950 - 2013 CALDWELL--James F. Springer, 63, of Macksburg, died Monday (Dec. 23, 2013), at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. He was born July 5, 1950, in Caldwell, son of the late Dale M. and Genevieve Sadanowicz Springer. Mr. Springer was a graduate of Caldwell High School. He retired from the Sharon Stone Company. He was a member of the Caldwell Eagles, Belle Valley Sons of the American Legion Post 641 and a member and treasurer of the former Caldwell Jaycees. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television and working on his cars. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Langley. Surviving are a daughter, Susan R. Springer (Delbert King) of Caldwell; a son, James A. Springer of Caldwell; a sister, Rose Marie (Jim) Pangle of Caldwell; two brothers, Jerry (Tybithia) Springer and Joe Springer, both of Caldwell; a half-brother, Jack Marx of Michigan; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, today, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East St., Caldwell, where the service will be 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East St., Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
