REED, John L.

Renrock:  John L. Reed was born Nov. 29, 1824, near Cumberland, Ohio, and=
 died April 8, 1904, at 6:40 a.m.  The first eighteen years of his life w=
ere spent at the place of his birth, after which he moved to Brookfield T=
p. where he lived to the advanced age of seventy-nine years four months a=
nd eleven days.  He was married to Elizabeth Miller, Mar. 21, 1850, and t=
o this union seven children were born, three of whom preceded the father =
to the spirit world.  The deceased united with the Methodist Protestant c=
hurch at Renrock about forty-five years ago and remained a member of the =
same until he was called to the church triumphant.  He leaves a widow, th=
ree sons and one daughter besides a number of kindred and friends to mour=
n his departure.  Funeral services were conducted at the residence by his=
 Pastor J. M. Wells who preached from Amos 4: 12.  Interment was made in =
the Ark Springs cemetery.
