He was attending class meeting at the Wesleyan Church , of which he was a prominent member and had spoken and set down, when he appeared to be distressed with a pain in his side about the region of the heart, he arose and walked in the aisle back and forth and went toward the door and attempted to open it. He then said to Mr Kirk ' send for a doctor and some way to get me home' then started back toward the desk , staggered, was caught and assisted to a seat when he immediately expired. NOBLE COUNTY REPUBLICAN THURSDAY DEC.30, 1880 DIED IN CHURCH Armstrong Johnson, Sr., an old and well known citizen of our county, died in the Sarahsville Wesleyan Church on the 19th. He had attended class meeting and given in his religious experience with more than the usual fervor for which he was noted. After setting down in his seat for a moment, he fell over into what was supposed to be a faint, but upon lifting him up he was found to be dead. Mr. Johnson was over seventy years of age, was born and reared in this county. he had been the greater part of his life a pillar of his church, and will be greatly missed by the community in which he resided.
