John B. Harper Taken By Death Here Saturday

Well Known Former Resident of Noble County Died After Brief Illness

A two weeks' illness resulted in the death of John B. Harper, 60, former well
known resident of Noble county, at his home, 546 Spangler Drive, at 1 o'clock
Saturday afternoon. While he had been in failing health, his death was sudden
and unexpected and came as a shock to many friends in Muskingum and Noble
counties. Mr. Harper was born and reared in Dexter City, but had made his home
in this city for the past seven years. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Emma
Davis, at home, and two brothers, D.F. and A.E. Harper, both of this city. Short
funeral services will be conducted at the home at 11 o'clock on Monday morning
and the cortege will then go to the Olive Free Methodist Church, Noble County,
where further services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock by Rev. J.A. Hopkins
assisted by Rev. O.E. Ford. Burial will be made in the Olive cemetery. The body
was removed to the Headley Undertaking parlors and will be taken to the late
home at 9 o'clock Sunday morning.
