John Murphy, son of Daniel Murphy, a native of Ireland and now a resident of
Buffalo Township in 1843. In 1869 he married Lena Gregg and in 1872 settled in
Brookfield. Mr. Murphy is the father of three children, one of whom is living.
He is a farmer and a member of the Presbyterian.
