Henry W. Heidelsheimer, merchant at Carlisle, was born in Germany in 1830, and
came to Noble County in 1850, where he has since resided. He enlisted in
August, 1861, in Company G, Seventh West Virginia Infantry. He was promoted to
second lieutenant in September, 1862; resigned in February, 1864; re-enlisted
in March, 1865, in the One Hundred and Eighty-sixth Ohio Volunteer Infantry;
and was discharged in October, 1865. Mr. Heidelsheimer is among the most
prominent merchants of the county.
