H. Huguley, West Point West Point, Ga., June 4 - (Special) - W. H. Huguley, one of West Point's most highly respected citizens, died at his home here this morning at the age of 87. He was born in Troup county and had lived in this community all his life. He was a confederate veteran and a brother of Colonel George H. Huguley, a distinguished office in the confederate army. Mr. Huguley succeeded his father, the late George H. Huguley, as president of the Georgia-Alabama Manufacturing company, but retired from business in 1890 to resume his farming interests. Mrs. Huguley is survived by his wife, four sisters, Mrs. A. Jackson and Mrs. L. Lanier of West Point, Mrs. L. H. Yancey and Mrs. R. M. Goodall, of Birmingham, and four sons, W. T. Huguley of New York and Washington; G. A., W. H., and Amos Huguley of West Point. Additional Comments: Mrs. L. Lanier is Ada Alice (Huguley) Lanier, wife of Lafayette Lanier; they are my husband's 2X Great-grandparents. She is a daughter of George & his 2nd wife, Gabrella (Arabella) Alice Dallis. William Henderson Huguley, Sr. was born 12 Sept 1830 and was the son of George Huguely & 1st wife, Mary "Polly" Dallis. Married 3x: 1st - Fannie A. ?______ ca 1855, she died 21 Dec 1866 one known child, William T. Huguley 2nd - Cordelia H. ?_______ ca 1867; she died 10 Jul 1870 3 known children: Infant Daughter, George Abner Huguley, & Walter Huguley 3rd - Frances Henrietta "Fannie" Sharpe (6 Dec 1848 - 24 Oct 1925) on 15 Jun 1871 in Chambers Co., Ala. 4 known children: Harrell Dallas Huguley, Oscar Whitfield Huguley, William Henderson Huguley, Jr. & Amos Huguley His first two wives are buried at the Huguley Family Cemetery in Huguley, Chambers Co., Ala.
