PIONEER RESIDENT OF 
COUNTY PASSES AT 
FIVE POINTS

Mrs. Anna Higgins, age 86, lifelong resident of Chambers County, passed away 
at her home in Five Points following a paralytic stroke Monday, January 12.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 14, at 10:30 a.m. from the Five 
Points Methodist Church with Rev. C. E. Kaylor conducting.  Interment was in 
the Five Points cemetery with Johnson and Sanders Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
   A member of the Mt. Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, the deceased is 
survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lula Newman and Mrs. Theo Trammell of Five 
Points; Miss Ethel Higgins, LaGrange, Ga.; three sons, Ed Higgins, Plant City, 
Fla.; Brooks Higgins, Montogomery; Cecil Higgins, Five Points; 19 
grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were John Will Wallace, Wallace Fuller, Pervin Redmond, Earl 
Pool, Fuller Alsobrook, Melvin Lee.
