Man is Killed by Freight Train

  Forrest Henderson age about 40, was struck by a northbound freight train on 
the curve near Union Cotton Mill in LaGrange, about 2 a.m. Sunday.

  The engineer stated that he sighted the man on rounding the curve, his 
position indicating that he was asleep or had been placed on the track.  
Several cars passed over the body before the train could be brought to a stop.

  Mr.  Henderson formerly lived at Langdale, having moved to LaGrange about two 
years ago.  He is survived by his wife and two sisters.  Mrs.  W. J. Crosby and 
Mrs. Britt, both of Langdale.

  Funer services were held at Langdale Union Church Sunday afternoon at 4 
o'clock, the Rev. Edmundson, of LaGrange, officiating, and interment was at 
Glass cemetery
