Death of Mrs. Alice Helen Hadaway, Monday

  Mrs.  Alice Helen Hadaway died at her home in Lanett, Monday at 3 p.m. after 
an illness of several weeks.  Mrs.  Hadaway was the mother of nine children.  
Her life was one of unsefulness and loving service to her family and 
neighbors.  She was a devout Christian, having been a member of the Bethlehem 
church at Glass, Ala., for many years.

  Mrs.  Hadaway,is survived by her husband Mr. Geo. W. Hadaway, and the 
following children.  Messrs.  J. T. Hadaway, Wabasso, Fla,; W. D., G. L., R. 
D., and E. A. Hadaway of Lanett, and Mesdames:  J. W. Pitts, of Langdale; Jim 
Sims, West Point, W. H. Mathews, of Rome, Ga., and Miss Ida Hadaway, of Lanett; 
the folowing brothers and sisters:  Messrs.  R. L.  Duffey, of Prattville, 
Ala., and A. N.  Duffey, of Jemison, Ala., and Mrs.  Bill Cullinah, of 
Birmingham.  There are also fifty-eight grandchildren and nine great-
greatchildren to mourn her passing.

  Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Church, Glass, Ala., at 10 A.M. 
Wednesday, the pastor; Rev.  McShumaker, being assisted by Rev. L. H. Wright.  
Internment was in the churchyard cemetery.  Johnson and Blakely, funeral 
directors, in charge
