Funeral services were held this morning at Johnson Brown-Service Chapel with burial in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Hendricks of Langdale and Mrs. Gradie Bell Browning of Huguley; three sons, William Davis of Cussetta, Ralph Davis of Plant City and Lonnie Davis of Dallas; and two brothers, Mose Gay of LaGrange and Clyde Gay of Hogansville. Additional Comments: Reppie LaVastie Gay was born June 26, 1891 in Randolph county, Alabama and died July 12, 1986 in Chambers county, Alabama. Reppie L. Gay married Stephen Calvin Davis on August 10, 1914. Reppie L. Gay Davis and Stephen Calvin Davis are buried in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Springfield, Randolph county, Alabama. Lucinda Hester was born September 24, 1865 in most likely Randolph county, Alabama to Harvey Hester and Louisa Jane Benefield and Martha A.L. Hester died May 12, 1915 in Randolph county, Alabama. At this time, I have not found a marriage license for Minnie and Ernest but I believe Minnie Elizabeth married Ernest P. Norton because LaGrange city directories point toward this and both had a daughter named Mary Alice Lynch mentioned in their obit.
