DEATH OF F. P. BRADFIELD, JR., BRINGS SORROW

POPULAR YOUNG MAN OF GLASS AND FAIRFAX DIES SUDDENLY FROM TETAUNS POISONING.

The death on last Friday of F. P. Branfield, Jr., at his home in Glass, Ala.,
coming suddenly after the young man had been stricken with tetanus poisoning,
came as a shock among a wide circle of friends who, many of them, knew nothing
of his condition until death had claimed him.

Mr. Bradfield had injured his hand very slightly several days before being
stricken, but thought nothing of it until about 48 hours before his death, when
inflamation set up and it was found to be too late to save his life. He was 28
years-of-age, a member of the board of deacons of the Missionary Baptist church
and he was an upright Christian gentleman who lived a clean, wholesome, useful
life. In 1926 he married Miss Ruth Still of Fairfax.

Surviving Mr. Bradfield, besides his wife, are his parents Mr. and Mrs. F. P.
Bradfield, Sr.; five brothers, Messrs.  W. W. of Fairfax; A. F. of West Point;
C. G., of Columbia, S. C.; J. P. of Columbus, Ga.; T. T. of Wadley, Georgia,
and four sisters, Mrs. J. M. Lamb and Mrs. W. H. Burdette, of Fairfax; Mrs.
L. V. Lamb, of Talladega, and Mrs. B. C. Fox, of San Diego, Calif., All
attended the funeral at Bethlehem church at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the
exception of Mrs. Fox. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. B. F.
Bratley, pastor of the deceased and interment was in Glass cemetery.
Pallbearers were Messrs. J. M. Lamb, Jr., Clanton Lamb, Wm. Bradfiedl, Wilson
Still, Jessie Still and Alton Still. Johnson & Howell, funeral directors, in
charge.
