The Chattahoochee Valley Times September 21, 1916        , 1916
Dr.  Mitchell Avery Dead

  Dr. J.  E. Blades is behing held under $1, 000 bond, charged with 
mansalughter in connecton with the death of Dr. W. M. Avery, who died Sunday 
night late, at the Elizabeth Duncan Hospital.  Death was caused, it is said, by 
a fractued skull.  It is alleged the injury was sustained in a fight with Dr. 
Bldes.---Birmingham News.
   Dr. Avery was once well know in Lanett, having worked here with his uncle, 
Mr. G. B. Avery, quiet a long time some years ago.
   Mr.  G. B. Avery and family, Mr. W. R. Avery and family,and Joe Avery and 
family attended the funeral which occurred at Mt. Pisgah, in the Northern part 
of Chambers County, Thursday.
