Yraguen Chapel
Mario Vela, 54, of Nampa passed away September 26, 2013 at his loving mother’s 
home. He was born in Lamesa, Texas on February 3, 1959 to Jose and Juanita Vela. 
He was the youngest of eleven children. The family moved to Nampa, Idaho in 1965 
and made it their home. Mario was a Loving son, brother and father. He didn't 
say much but he was a very kind hearted man. His proudest moment was when he got 
his CDL License. He liked cruzing his Silverado and listening to music, and 
working on his 63 Chevy. He was a cancer survivor. He had lots of family and 
friends and will be forever missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his 
loving mother Juanita Vela, his children Patricia, Maricela and Christina Vela 
and his grandchildren Chloey, Abigail and Nathanael and Christian, Ciara and 
Clarissa all of Texas and his children Mario Jr. , Christopher, and Akayla 
Juanita of Idaho. His siblings Virginia Rodriguez of Caldwell, Angelita Vela of 
Nampa, Janie Vela of Salt Lake, Tiofoilo Vela of Nampa, Lidia Vasquez of Texas, 
and Susie(David) Owen of Caldwell and several aunts and uncles, nieces and 
nephews from Idaho, Texas and Utah. He was preceded in death by his beloved 
father Jose Vela, paternal and maternal grandparents, two brothers Jose Jr. and 
Romaldo M. Vela his uncles Fermin and Pilar Luna, Jesus Jr., Jose Maria, Ricardo 
and Johnny Vela and his brother-in-laws Jose A (Guero) Bernal and Francisco J 
Rodriguez and his nephew Robert S Vela.

A vigil service will be held at 6:00P.M. Tuesday October 1, 2013 at Nampa 
Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel with a Rosary recited by Fr. Marcos Sanchez, A 
burial will be held at a later date in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. In lieu 
of flowers please donate to a Cancer Society of your choice. God Bless you all.
